All Fired Up!

The beast comes to life!

Today we hit a major milestone by firing up the CNC and running it through a basic program. Below is a quick video showing it in action. We are super excited knowing that it wont be long now until we start milling the first plugs.

Even though we were very busy today with the CNC, Jeff managed to make a little more progress on the model by finishing the nose and main gear.

Nose wheel is in. It’s fully steerable. It looks very much like the full scale one will look

Main gear wheels are on.

So things are really moving along nicely now. We will be ordering foam blocks tomorrow for milling as well as working on extracting the first CAM program to mill the first plug.
